We are experienced discrimination lawyers and we are known for achieving the maximum possible compensation for individuals through negotiation and litigation. We regularly advise Senior Executives and other high-net worth individuals on discrimination claims and, in particular, where they have been treated less favourably because of a “protected characteristic” such as sex, race, disability or age (see below). We are committed to helping clients achieve fair treatment.

Individuals ordinarily have three months less one day from the date of a discriminatory act to bring a claim.

Recent experience includes:

• Advising senior executives and issuing claims of disability discrimination (direct, indirect, discrimination arising from disability, failure to make reasonable adjustments and harassment);
• Negotiating a settlement package in excess of £750,000 for a director of a large financial services company who brought a complex claim for disability discrimination and unfair dismissal;
• Advising senior executives in the financial services sector on sex discrimination and pregnancy-related discrimination; issuing Tribunal proceedings; and negotiating high value six figure settlements before hearings;
• Attending mediation meetings with clients following complaints of race discrimination and pregnancy discrimination, victimisation and harassment at work and securing substantial settlements (in one case including an open letter of apology and an agreement to provide equality training for all managers); and 
• Drafting Discrimination Questionnaires to protect individuals’ positions both during employment and after commencing litigation.
